In Uncategorized on 20. July 2009 at 10:41

3. what`s a stencil artists without a knife?

nothing! as always in life there are expensive and cheap solutions. you can get exacto knifes for almost 30 euros in special artists shops or you can take throw away knifes in every do-it-yourself shop. i think the most important thing is to have affordable blades because i use to exchange them very quickly. that`s why i use an “OLFA knife – model KB”. So far it`s the best knife i`ve worked with. with the pen comes a box with 25 spare blades. you can also buy spare blades separetely for about 4 euros. i think that`s a perfect cost – perfomance ratio.

recycling stencils

In Uncategorized on 16. July 2009 at 22:14

one good thing about stencils is that if you treat them right you can spray them several times.

i did this little girl in 2006 for the first time. ever since then i regreted that i`ve sold that piece. so today i had the stencil set in my hands and lucky me, some boards in the right size available. so, i did this piece two more times. but i cutted a new aibo and changed the colour scheme completely.

so in the end it`s a new piece….or it`s two new pieces. peace!

this is the second of two pieces i did together with RUSL, who is a very talented young graffiti writer. i really liked working together with him, especially due to the fact that he is not painting on canvas that often. so this piece is pretty unique. thanks RUSL.

wall of fame

In Uncategorized on 4. July 2009 at 12:31

yeah! the wall is growing and growing.

as i mentioned in the previous article we had some great graffiti artists in town. next to zedz and reyes some more of them took the chance to paint. there are some more pieces from toast (CH), alexone (FR), shok (GB), and swet (DK). all of them are international calibers and i am very proud those guys painted in my city.

toastweb

toast, quick and easy.

alexoneweb

alexone, caligraphic and mysterious. i`ve heard he was disrupted by the police 😉 but no bigger problems. he`s had my permittance…

shokoneweb

shok. great stuff. graffiti with meaning. that`s what we are looking for.

swetweb

swet, this shit is swinging. actually it was the first piece on the wall. i love it!

friend or foe?!

this is definately my friend. i am in that happy situation that i can name the stylemaster, pencilchiefrocker and international graffiti heroe DARE my studio neighbour, mentor and most important my friend.

whenever i am in urgent need of a constructive feedback he is there with his 20 years of experience and a suggestion of improvement. thanks a lot for that, man!
